The Weekend Lens

We had an awesome weekend.

We went to the cottage at Golden Sands Resort in Winterland, NL with some of M's work friends. We went out for a 10km race-not for either of us, but a few of the boys were running a race in Garnish. It was in 'da bay' that's for sure.

But, we had a great time and the weather even cooperated for us!

This is the story of our weekend through my iphone lens. I forgot my DSLR at home in our rush to get out.

We drove out on Friday evening. This one likes to lie like a baby in the car. It's actually hilariously cute.



The drive was uneventful and we finally arrived at our digs for the weekend.



We spent Friday night getting settled and most of us turned in early.



Then on Saturday we went to see our friends race.




It gave us some time to have some fun in the field...



...and on the beach. This is my fav shot from the weekend-and yes, it was that cold that I had to wear a winter hat. I'm also wearing like 4 layers of sweater/shirt combination. Freakin' Newfoundland 'summer'.



That being said we did enjoy some beautiful weather on Saturday afternoon. It wasn't warm but it was sunny. I took one for the team and hauled off my socks and sneakers and waded into the lake so Eugene could swim for the first time.



It was a success. It was cold and he was a bit shocked but he liked it.

Then we had a nap.



And he buried his bone-he loved all the space and grass and fresh air this weekend. It stinks not having a decent backyard.



Then Saturday evening we made s'mores on the campfire. I was in my glee. 



And then on Sunday morning we got up and got ready to go home.

All in all it was a pretty sweet weekend. We all had a blast.
