Continuing with yesterday's post, I have another layout to share with you using 'The Paperie's' September kit today.
This layout came together after I found a layout I loved on the SC member gallery. Honestly, I thought I pinned it but can't find it now. I think it was by Marcy Penner but I'm not sure. Either way-it wasn't my original idea so I can't take credit.
I created an interactive layout here with a foldable piece that holds six more pictures and the journaling that tells the story of this main photo.
I started out with a blank canvas but wanted to try misting using a mask and so I cut that yellow chevron from a piece of My Mind's Eye paper and used it as a mask in two different places. After misting and adding a few little droplets, I used the mask (opposite side) underneath both masked areas to draw more attention to it.
For the foldable I used a piece of 6.5 by 9 paper and simple folded it in half treating the front as a mat for my photo and the inside like a grid. I did add a brighter, blue mat for the whole thing to give it something to anchor the whole piece to.
I embellished the front mat heavily with some paper pieces and used an orange Amy Tanergine paperclip to hold it closed when it was standing upright.
No detail was left unturned in this layout either. I even used the triangles that were left over from cutting out the chevron mask for a little pattern on my blue photo mat.
I love love love how this layout turned out. It might be one of my favourites!
