A Layout: YOU & I

So I hauled out an old book-52 More Scrapbook Challenges by L. Katchner. I've been a long time lover of her style and techniques. I'm even more excited that she has another line debuting at CHA the end of this month. Can't wait to see what she came up with with American Crafts.



So I tried out one of the challenges. I picked:

Use Song lyrics or a title in your layout



My take:



Hence the title: 'You & I' -a popular song by Lady Gaga.

These pics were sitting around waiting to be scrapped from our best friends' wedding in September. I could have used them with all the wedding photos I had printed and just included them in the wedding layout but I wanted to tell a different story. So, I took a few of the candid shots of M & I that really captured us-in the moment, no posing, just real life stuff. I love these pictures. They really show us as a couple. We have so much fun. We laugh a lot. And yeah, we actually are that good at dancing too. ;)

I used a Studio Calico kit that came out in the Fall. I'll admit that I'm a little backed up with SC kits at the moment but I'm hoping to plow through a few with some old photos later on this month. For this layout though I used the leaves from the Amy Tangerine AC line and loved them.



I was surprised with this kit actually because initially the colors weren't my thing but I love how the layout came together so nicely with the kit. As always SC hit another one out of the park.
