We have many family traditions that we both brought to our relationship from our families and even more that we've created ourselves.
Recently, we had Chinese food at an old Wells' family favorite- 'The Kenmount'- here in St. John's. When M was younger his Gran and Grandad used to come into St. John's periodically and they would go eat at 'The Kenmount'-the best Chinese food in St. John's in their opinion. While the decor hasn't changed since they opened-big flowered 70's wallpaper & lots of plastic tablecloths-the food has stayed delicious. They also do a mean takeout if you're local and want to pick something up to eat in your own, much more stylish, home.
So, that's how this layout came to be.
I used the latest kit from The Paperie for this layout. It included all kinds of beautiful American Crafts paper from the newest Dear Lizzy & Amy Tangerine lines and their various accessories. I also added some Studio Calico accessories like the 'details' badge and the tweety bird.
I think my favourite part is the paper with all the colourful polaroids-I'm a sucker for a good polaroid. I'm also a sucker for a good camera stamp and this one was no exception. You can also see the corner of my story which I tucked in behind my main photo.
So that kit from The Paperie was pretty awesome huh?! Well, go to The Paperie's blog today for my first guest post. I'll be hosting Mojo Monday over there once a month and this month's challenge and layout are debuting today. PLay along with me! Here's a little sneak peek of the layout I designed based on the challenge.
