The Paperie: January Kit

The Paperie revealed their January kits this past weekend. I'm not sure they even have any left but wanted to show you what I created with this kit.

The kit was a challenge for me. I'm not a big Tim Holtz fan, simply because I'm not into the grungy dark look that his products induce. But, this kit had a lot of 'Tim Holtz-like' products. So I did the best I could and while it was a challenge, I am pleased with what I was able to make out of it.

This mini-album used the package of Fancy Pants holiday embellishments that were in the kit. I used a Pioneer Woman photo shop action to make the pics more vintage to suit the style of the album. Other than that I kept it pretty simple.

This layout came together pretty quickly too. A little Perfect Pearl mist, included in the kit, gave me a little sparkle in the background. I punched a few stars out of the glassine paper that I had embossed and created a row for my picture on sit on. I used the Accucut machine to make letters which I then traced with a blue AC pen. I love the way the title looks!

This layout was super simple. Three little blocks- a title, a pic and subtitle/journaling. I jazzed up the letters a little with some more Perfect Pearls mist. I love that glitter paper. It's so fun and fancy! It was my fav part of the kit.
