This month's assignment at Simple Scrapper was to use lyrics or a quote on your layout.
I found this awesome quote on pinterest.
I love it. It sums up our mantra for life. We are big foodies who love, love, love to travel. One of the first things we do before visiting a new place is to go on a mad search for awesome restaurants. There's been many a day where I have eaten my way around a city.
This is what I came up with for the assignment.
The photos were all leftovers from our trips to New York, Lamanche Provincial Park & Florida- our summer adventures. I particularly love the little map-patterned envelope and it fit perfectly in the grid with the 2 by 3 photos. Of course that's where I tucked my journaling, written on a little manila tag. I used Studio Calico's 'Story Hour' kit for this layout and even used one of those cute little squirrel paperclips in the bottom little cluster of embellishments.
This page is based on a sketch. I love following sketches. I love interpreting them. They are always a great jumping off point for me for any layout. When I have photos and a sketch to start with I am off and running. If you enjoy using sketches and are on the lookout for some inspiration check out Simple Scrapper.
