Five for Friday

It's Friday! TGIF! I love Fridays more than anything-a whole weekend ahead of you and the anticipation of all that's to come! Love it. Here's this week's 'Five for Friday':

1. I’m kind of obsessed with Gerelyn’s work. She does some cool stuff! These tags are fun and I’m thinking about doing a mini-album with them for a long weekend trip to NY that’s coming up next weekend. It might be a fun take on ‘Scrapbook on the Road’.

2. National Scrapbooking Day is tomorrow. Studio Calico is doing some fun things on their site and I’ve signed up for the Big Picture+Creating Keepsakes collaboration that’s happening over on the Big Pictures Classes site. What are you doing for National Scrapbooking day?

3. I think this weekend I’m going to make some cards. I NEVER make cards. So, this weekend while I scrapbook I am going to take the time to make some cards out of the scraps from my pages. Studio Calico had a great sketch this week for cards-I'm feeling inspired.

4. There’s a beautiful layout over over on the Crate paper blog this week. There’s even a technique for giving a ‘vintage’ effect to your letter stickers. I like it-but it’s a lot of work! Maybe I’ll try it this weekend! Who knows?

5. The movie "Something Borrowed" came out today. It's based on a book by Emily Giffin which I loved. It's been a lonnnnggg time since I saw a great chick flick at the movie theatre. I may take some time out from running & scrapbooking this weekend to see it.

Bonus: In other news, a late evening trip to the gym prevented me from getting some good daylight shots of the mini-album I finished this week. So, I'll have a detailed list of what I used and how it was created for you tomorrow.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Have a great NSD! I never make cards either!

  2. I love Something Borrowed too! Can't wait to go see the movie this weekend.

  3. I am going to be missing NSD but for a good reason as my youngest will be doing his 1st communion BUT Sunday I plan on playing catch up.. and they have to let me.. Ha.. I get a Play till I drop cause its Mother Day card :) ha.. Happy Weekend to you!

  4. I'm excited for NSD too - hoping to get some scrap time this weekend amongst the festivities! (And I totally want to see that movie, too!)

  5. Enjoy your National Scrapbook Day! :-)
