Week in The Life

I'm ready- cameras are ready to go. Batteries charged. Film purchased. Here we go.

Are you planning on participating? Today is the day!

Week in the Life is a scrapbooking project developed by Ali Edwards. I've participated a number of times in the past, usually in the Fall. My final product has usually been a mini-album of some sort-usually an 8 by 8 album. But, this year I think I'm going to try something a little different.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about how I'm going to participate in this project while keeping up with Project Life and my other regular scrapbooking duties. So, I've decided to forgo Project Life next week & simply create 'Week in the Life' inserts to go in there instead of making a new album.

I'm still thinking about 12 by 12 versus 8.5 by 11. I think I will definitely be purchasing some of the digital templates from Designer Digitals by Ali Edwards. I love this one with the flag. You could also use any of these that Ali posted on her blog over the weekend.  I doubt I'll be creating the pages as I go- I'd love to be that ambitious but I like to have it all together and then plow through an entire album in one go. That's how I roll.

I'll be trying to post a little blurb about my day with a few pics this week as well.

Good luck if you are participating!

  1. What a good idea! I decided real life and Project Life was going to make Week in the Life a project too far. I am really looking forward to seeing your inserts.

  2. Nope, not participating, but good luck to you! Looking forward to your pages!

  3. I am going to give it a shot this year :) cannot wait to see your pictures and pages!!

  4. I did it a few years ago and loved it! I'm not doing it this week, but have it on my mind for another week

  5. Life is too hectic for me to add this to PL right now, but I'm so excited to see what everyone does! And you're reminding me to use my instax:)

  6. i'm not doing week in the life this week, but i might do something similar later in the year. i always love looking at everyone's project life/week in the life projects.
