Five for Friday

1. So we had a big storm, hurricane Leslie, sweep into our fair city early this week. On Tuesday we had high winds but very little rain. Needless to say, there was some excitement around these parts. We had a little mishap with our neighbours portable garage. Yeah. It rolled over the 8 foot fence into our driveway. M had left for work literally minutes before this happened.

Later that evening we did a little stroll around town and discovered that Mother Nature had wreaked havoc on many of the old trees in town.
Including M's Grandad's backyard. We went to investigate.

And all of this mess was pure excitement for Eugene who loves 'sticks'.

To say he was in his happy place was an understatement. If he could have picked up every one and taken them home I'm sure he would have.

2. I preordered my December Daily kit from Studio Calico this week. The small size, a 4 by 6 album, and the Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamps sold me on it. It was expensive but it's all I'm using for my DD and I'm sure some of it will end up in my project life album as well.

3. Remember last week I mentioned wanting some KP stamps. Well, the next day there was a coupon code so guess who's waiting for KP stamps?! They shipped on Wednesday so now I'm stalking the mailman. Seriously you might think I'm kidding but I'm not folks.

4.Speaking of stamps-Elise Blaha has launched her stamp shop again. Her stamps are next on my list. I love the 'his' & 'her' stamps.

5. We saw Theatre St. John's production of 'Grease' last night. My brother in law was cast as Sonny. He did an awesome job.  Congrats on a job well done J!

Have a great weekend!

xoxo

  1. Lots of trees like that in our neighborhood after hurricane Isaac! Isn't it weird how such a large tree's roots are so shallow!

  2. Love the pictures of your pup with the sticks!
I wish we could afford for me to get the SC kit for my DD this year...but I don’t think it will happen.
