"Happy Little Moments" Class

I am so glad that my friend Sara convinced me to take this class with her!

As I mentioned in last week's post, I didn't get a kit for Maggie Holmes class so I had to go off in search of my own book to use. I found two-

I love the titles. I'm starting with the smaller one. I like the ideas of the 'selected short stories' for stories about life right NOW. The other book will be used with all the leftover camp pictures I have.

Then on Friday I had a chance to sit down and start playing. I finished my cover.

I used Amy Tangerine fabric paper that I've been hoarding for ages for the cover because I didn't feel like using any paint. I also used some bits and pieces of October Afternoon and SC and American Crafts thickers.

I started on the inside cover page but I haven't finished because I went in search of glassine bags but I couldn't find any and had to make wax paper ones. I'll have a little tutorial on that later in the week! Here's a little sneak of what it looks like so far.

I'll be sharing more pages as I complete them. I'm pretty excited about this class. There are lots of opportunities to try some new things-painting, sewing, misting...the list is endless.

  1. Hey, I'm in the same boat with you as far as the glassine bags go- I just haven't sewn my wax paper bag yet. And I agree with you on all the possibilities for this class. It's really giving me the opportunity to branch out & try new things! :)
